Vía 515 is a mixed-use development spanning 106,000 m², located to the east of Mexico City, between the airport and the historic center. It integrates three buildings: a shopping mall, a hotel, and office spaces, adapted to the urban context and the lakeside character of the land.
The shopping mall, located on Viaducto Miguel Alemán, is developed in a “U” shape around a central courtyard with a translucent roof and a glass façade that enhances the entry of natural light. Above this volume rises an eight-level hotel with 245 rooms, its façade featuring copper-colored aluminum panels that reinterpret the geovolcanic axis of the Valley of Mexico, filtering light and noise. On the opposite side, on Añil Street, a 12-level office building with a courtyard and terraces optimizes natural lighting.
Both volumes are connected by internal streets that form a vehicular and pedestrian circuit, linking entrances and underground parking. The foundation, with piles and a 2-meter thick slab, ensures stability on the lakeside soil and included one of the largest mass pours in the country.
Vía 515 has become an architectural icon and a driving force for development in the eastern area.
